Lypossage
Lypossage β What is it?
Lypossage: βThe kind of massage that helps in contouring the body and weight loss, lypossage is something that you need to try if you are looking for a treat for your mind and body.β
With the word massage, the only thing that comes to mind is a relaxing therapy for both the mind and the body. However, with lypossage, you get one extra benefit and that is something you will never want to miss: reducing the presence and appearance of body fat.
We live in a time where everyone is striving to look their best. Body fat and cellulite are looked down upon to a level where everybody wants to get rid of them. Usually, people use creams and undergo painful treatments to eliminate the cellulite appearance. However, lypossage is one such massage technique that has been tailor-made for this purpose.
The word lypo has been derived from βlipoβ which means βfatβ. The massage came into the limelight in 1999 by Charles W. Wiltsie III, B.SLMT as a practice of body contouring. The experiment carried out by him showed a decrease in body fat in 95% of the participants.

In the first and second zone, the techniques that are used are myofascial manipulation, skin rolling, and compression. Whereas deep tissue massage is done in zone 3 with a focus to carry out lymphatic drainage in the neck and head areas. One session lasts up to 30 minutes and is usually carried out in 18 sessions in total over a course of up to 9 weeks. Keep in mind that the lypossage techniques do not yield rapid and overnight results. Instead, it takes time and patience coupled with some exercises.
